Calling all Northville pet parents, let’s share your pet’s story with images by a professional pet photographer (that’s me!) in this limited edition book

Here’s the scoop:

It’s simple. Enjoy an outdoor photoshoot with your four-legged friend. Celebrate what makes them special to you, whether it’s the way their ears flop over or their happy smiles as they look up at you.

And BONUS! Images from your photoshoot will be featured in the hard cover coffee-table style book that supports the Northville Art House. A copy of the book is included in your registration.

I believe that little moments are everything and the best ones are spent with our pets. Let’s showcase your bond in beautiful artwork.

Photoshoot

Have a great time hanging out while I make crazy noises, give your pet lots of yummy treats, and get amazing images.

Design

You’ll get to see your gallery of images on a Zoom call. We’ll design any artwork and you can pick your favorite images to be included in the book.

 

What’s included in the registration fee

Firefly Experience

Enjoy the full service Firefly pet photo experience – usually $790. Includes a consultation call, the portrait session, and a design consultation to pick your images from a gallery of choices.

A fun photoshoot

Choose from your backyard or a park for your outdoor photoshoot, it will be fun!

 

2 full pages in the book

Tell your pet’s story in words and images. Your pet will be included in the limited edition hardcover coffee-table style book.

 

Artwork for your home

$100 towards artwork to showcase your beautiful images in your home where you can enjoy them everyday!

Help the arts

$50 from every registration is donated to the Northville Art House supporting creative and educational programs in the local community.

Northville Art House

The Northville Art House is a gathering place where artists and the community come together to learn, share ideas, and understand different points of view.

The programs and events improve social well-being, enrich local amenities, and attract people to the area to increase business and economic development.
The creative experiences annually attract more than 25,000 visitors, present about 2500 works of art, and promote 400 artists from the U.S. and around the world.

The Educational programs reach more than 650 children, teens and adults in over 200 class and community settings include hundreds more through community partnerships.

Frequently asked questions

Does  my dog need to be well trained? – LOL, heck no!  It does help if they know how to sit but I’m used to working with all kinds of dogs (including my own) that are not perfectly trained.
 
What if my dog needs to stay on a leash?  No worries, leashes can be erased out of most images.  Harnesses will most likely stay in the photo.  This goes for cats as well, they should be on leash if outdoors.  I also have some very long leashes that will allow for more movement while maintaining safety.
 
Can my cat be a part of the book?  Yes, as long as we can safely hold the photoshoot outdoors.  This goes for any kind of pet with a tail.
 
Can we hold the portrait session in my backyard?  Yes, if your pet would be more comfortable there.  If you’re not sure if it would make a good backdrop you can always send me a quick video of the layout.
 
I don’t know of a good park, where should we go?  I have a list of some great parks around Northville. We’ll have a consultation call before our shoot where we figure out all the details.
 
Do I need to be in the photos?  No, but I hope you will be!   If you don’t want your photo to be included in the book that is 100% okay, but you should still have images with your pets.  And there are ways to be part of the image without being the focus.
 
What is an artwork credit?  Do I need to pay anything beyond the registration fee?  Your $199 registration fee includes your photoshoot, the donation to the charity, and a copy of the book.  It does not include any artwork for your home.  But if you love your images and want to create drool-worthy art to display, or an album to treasure, you can apply your $100 artwork credit towards your purchase.  Prints start at $250 and wall art starts at $499, most clients spend an average of $800.  But there is no obligation/pressure to purchase anything beyond the registration fee.  Fair warning though, I don’t make it easy on you….you are going to love your images 🙂
 
What if I don’t live in Northville?  
This current project focuses on pets of Northville, or that have a connection to Northville, but there will be future books and you’re always welcome to book a traditional pet portrait session.  Join the Pawdacious Pack to stay in touch and hear more about future projects.
