Is there anything better than snuggling under a cozy blanket and binging on Christmas movies with your dog?  Hello, Hallmark Channel!  Or maybe you’re like me and are still wrapping presents (all that dog/cat hair on the tape is just added holiday spirit, right?)

Popcorn is one of the few human treats that we give Bernie and Violet.  As soon as the first kernel pops Violet races to the microwave and waits for her snack.  K and I also love popcorn (so much so that before the pandemic the AMC near our home knew me as the person who would walk in, get popcorn, and go home to watch a movie).

I know you’ve got a lot going on right now, so I’ve rounded up some of the best options for a Christmas movie night with your dog (beyond any Disney movie, because those are always going to be on my list).  Check them out:

Christmas Movies

Walking the Dog

This one features two rival lawyers who are brought together time and again by their dogs.

Christmas with Tucker

After losing his dad, a 13-year-old boy finds hope and friendship in a dog named Tucker.

A Christmas Wedding Tail

A Golden Retriever and a Poodle fall in love and so do their owners in this sweet tail of a tale.

A Dog Named Christmas

A living room decorated for Christmas with beautiful artwork featuring dogs

Anabelle’s Wish

A heartwarming tale about a mute boy and a speaking reindeer that teaches about love and sacrifice.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  (even the Grinch has a dog!)

Lady and the Tramp

Streaming on Disney+ we recommend the animated and the live version!

The Search for Santa Paws

Whether you’re curling up in bed or on the couch I hope you enjoy a fun-filled Christmas movie night with your dog this season! These are just a few of my favorites for all ages. Do you have a favorite holiday movie?
